What They Don’t Teach You In Graduate School

By September 18, 2026Clinic News

Every once in a while I like to pull back the curtain and share a little bit about what’s happening behind the scenes at OWL Pediatric Therapy. As OWL’s owner, I spend a lot of time thinking not only about the services we provide today, but also about how we grow thoughtfully and sustainably to better support the children, families, and clinicians who are part of our community. This fall, I’m heading back to school…sort of!

I’ve been accepted into the GoldmanSachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. The 10,0000 Small Business Program is a 12 week program of hands on learning and mentoring specifically built for small businesses. With a curriculum developed in partnership with Babson College, I’ll spend about 100 hours this fall in the classroom, working with advisors, and learning alongside other small business owners. In May, I’ll head to New York City to present OWL’s growth plan. Through it all, the goal is clear: to make sure OWL can continue to serve the wonderful families in our community for a long time.

I care deeply about what we’ve built at OWL, and I’m incredibly grateful to the families and clinicians who have helped shape it along the way. So here’s to learning all the things they never taught me in graduate school!

With gratitude for this journey,

Caitlin
