Olivia Thompson, M.S., CCC-SLP is an ASHA-certified and state-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She has experience working in both public school settings and private practice, supporting children with a wide range of communication needs. Her clinical experience includes developmental language disorder, mixed receptive-expressive language disorder, developmental delays, speech sound disorders (including articulation and phonological disorders), autism spectrum disorder, social communication differences, fluency disorders, dyslexia, and dysgraphia.
Olivia earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies from Assumption University before completing her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Massachusetts. She also holds Massachusetts licensure as a Reading Specialist and completed her Reading Certificate through MGH Institute. She has experience providing structured literacy intervention to children with dyslexia and dysgraphia in both school and private clinic settings.
Olivia believes that meaningful progress begins with strong relationships. She takes a child-centered, play-based approach to therapy, partnering closely with families to create individualized treatment plans that are engaging, evidence-based, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs. She is committed to making therapy both effective and enjoyable while staying current with best practices through continuing education and professional development.
Outside of work, Olivia enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and tackling DIY projects.
